This Ghau box is made of copper and gold plated.

The Gau box used in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mongolia usually contains a written prayer or sacred mantra chart such as Kalachakra. Prayers and mantras are usually handwritten or printed by a priest, and they are always blessed before use.
