The wood is beautifully hand carved into a lotus design and then small holes are drilled for the incense sticks; using traditional drilling machine. Then the burner is beautifully hand painted with different colors of lotus. The wooden incense burner holds the incense in a right manner to collect all the ash and remains after the incense has burnt.

The wooden incense burner has big hole in the center for the thick (incense sticks without wood or bamboo sticks in the middle) incense sticks and has four small holes for the incense sticks which has wood or bamboo sticks in the middle of the incense sticks.
